Death Cab for Cutie es un grupo de indie-rock original de Bellingham, Washington. Se formó en 1997 y toma su nombre de una canción escrita por Vivian Stanshall, que forma parte del disco Gorilla (1967) de The Bonzo Dog Band y de la película experimental de The Beatles: Magical Mistery Tour.
